Life Care Membership
When a Canterbury or Apartment home is selected, you may choose from several financial options, which include a one-time entrance fee and ongoing monthly fees*.
Entrance fees for Life Care plans begin at $168,200 for a One Bedroom Apartment home with a courtyard entrance and $447,500 for a large Three Bedroom Canterbury Home with porch or sunroom and a water view. Monthly service fees begin at $2,585 depending on the size of the residence.
- Should you ever need a higher level of care, your monthly service fee will not increase as a result
of moving to Vicar's Landing Assisted Living or Skilled Care Center - that's the Life Care benefit. Now, that's financial security! Monthly
service fees are subject to annual increases to cover increased operational costs.
- Membership at Vicar's Landing offers another unique advantage that may have a significant impact on your tax return. The Internal Revenue Service has determined that as a Member of a Life Care retirement community you may deduct a percentage of your entrance fee and monthly service fees as a prepaid medical expense on your federal income taxes. We encourage you to consult your tax advisor for more details.
*Your monthly fee includes:
- Lifetime health care
- Meal delivery in times of illness
- One meal per day (either breakfast, lunch or dinner)
- Weekly housekeeping and linen service
- Periodic heavy cleaning, including window washing and carpet cleaning
- Full maintenance of residences and grounds
- Pest Control
- Real Estate taxes, basic cable television and all utilities (except telephone)
- Transportation to local shopping centers, as scheduled
